Having an Idea

Since our early ages, we are always asked a question. These questions, which can sometimes decide how our lives will be shaped, have become increasingly important. But do you think the important thing is to give any answer? Or is it important to form our own opinion?

When I say forming our own opinion, I do not mean an opposing opinion or criticism. What I mean is an idea that contains a thought and is formed by thought bubbles such as one’s own experience, culture and ideology. Because every person achieves their own gains in every environment in which they live their lives. Just like I am writing this text.

As someone who likes to talk about life and experiences, I think this is the 3rd article I have written in Volunteers Center Skopje magazine, I don’t know, maybe the 4th article. But there is something I like to talk about in every article I write. These are small texts that I quote from my life. Realizing that I have the capacity to write them, I think being able to talk about my memories, at least introduce myself to people, and show the impact other people have had on my life through myself is a beautiful sharing created by the concept of “language”. As you already know, language creates culture. Culture, on the other hand, includes some unwritten rules. The little lives we live within the framework of these rules later shape us.

If you, like me, think that most words shared or spoken contain a subtext. So, if you think that it actually expresses a different meaning than the meaning conveyed, you are probably trying to listen carefully and understand the people you are talking to. Although this behavior is important for the formation of our own ideas, it will gradually destroy the sense of trust we have in people. Because we choose to speak. Likewise, it is up to us to talk to people or not.

In short, life is actually in our hands. What we do or want to do is only our business. This concept, which we can define as being in the leading role in our lives, actually tells us that we should choose what we want to do in this big journey called life. Having an idea at this point allows us to decide how and in what way we will swing the oars in the boat we are sitting on.

The decisions we make in our smallest moments can have a huge impact on our lives without us even realizing it. These results, called the butterfly effect, actually come from small thought bubbles that are hidden and located deep in our brains. As I said before, it is at this point that these little thought bubbles direct our lives.

When we look back on our lives, sometimes we may not like where we are. Just like in this text, no matter how much the title and content do not match each other, as we can understand from this article, what is important is the feeling of being on the road. Think of it as continuing to walk. Rather than staying in one place, putting things behind us and continuing our lives with the lessons they give is one of the best things we can do for ourselves. But sometimes we should not forget that people are not a self-improvement project. Sometimes we also need to look around and live life and try to enjoy every moment. Otherwise, how can we say to ourselves: “I am alive”?

When we are born, we don’t know anything. The first things we learn are often meaningless words our parents tell us. As we grow, our own mindset and personality begins to form. Although the questions of how to love, how to live or how to be a part of life are big questions we need to ask ourselves, I think this is exactly what being human means. I think it’s a selfish thing to want to relive the moments you found and were happy over and over again. As a person who constantly remembers the memories I have had, although I would like to live those beautiful memories for the rest of my life, I think this is not possible. I’m not saying that being in new pursuits changes this mindset. I guess the only important thing is to try to be happy with every memory we experience. This could be listening to a song or taking a short smoke break. We need to accept that we will not relive the memories. As much as I don’t want to admit it…
