The following is a transcription of the last broadcast from the Maïlouou-Souou regional authority. The authority no longer exists.

SEC.1 . DESCRIPTION OF DANGER.

(1) Young woodcrawlers have the shape of young humans after gathering, they cover their ears to listen to vocabulary (2) It’s important for them to blend in, and act like good members of society (3) Their voice may be weak, their vocal cords are still rigor (4) Do.NOT.use fire in their presence (5) Woodcrawlers do not exist (6) If someone possesses two -2- or more of the following characteristics, follow the orders.

-hides ears -weak voice -afraid of fire -memory loss  -drinks too much water  -wants to enter someone’s place -has cold skin

Be extremely careful of your surroundings, woodcrawlers target authorities like doctors, politicians, the police, if someone tries to stop you, stop them, and contact your hierarchy, the wood has to be burnt and the ashes sealed.

SEC. 3. Contact

If you had a contact with an entity, take a pencil and write as much information as you can, your mind might be weakened by the lack of sleep and in the holes of your memories woodcrawlers take power, don’t let them influence what you are writing and contact the preventive action cell if you need help for the execution.

As you can guess, Woodcrawlers don’t really exist. This text is inspired by a side of the internet horror called analog horror. It’s more cryptic, and the horror comes from the ambiance more than jump scares or shocking visuals. But why analog? A part of the disturbing ambiance is due to the low quality visuals and sound, like on analog recordings of the old cameras. Good examples of analog horror are “The Mandela Catalogue”, “Marble Hornets”, but also “The Backrooms”. A more controversial take would be to say that “The Blair Witch Project” is already a form of analog horror, even if the expression did not exist back then.
