Paratisima Skopje #4

The idea of Paratisima Skopje originated from simple vision – art should be for everyone. With this idea for open art, Paratisima Skopje does not limit in the format of expression which artist wants to use, and in the selection of participants also. On the fair, can apply artists with professional background, those who take art like occupation and tool for creative expression. Because of that, Paratisima Skopje calls participants who will apply to refer to the experiment, to bridge and transform the traditional norms and rules of art. The motto of Paratisima Skopje is that, everyone from everywhere can participate! Every year Paratisima Skopje choose curator Who is in charge To curry the display of the exhibition and a three-member jury composed of professionals in the creative industries, whose task is to select participants who will receive an award to exhibit in the Macedonian Pavilion of Paratissima in Turin.

Fourth edition of Paratisima Skopje was held in Youth cultural centre in Skopje, where the three-days programe was filled with workshops, lectures and three musical performances. Participated 130 independent artists, over 30 of them were out of Macedonia, 6 special projects and attendance of over 6 thousand people during the three days. There were several awards – 11 selected independent participants of three-member jury, which will have an opportunity to exhibit their works at the Macedonian Pavilion of Paratissima Torino, two independent exhibitions assigned of Password Production in their rooms, five independent participants selected by artistic festival, DrimON, who will have opportunity to expose their pieces in Struga, in the end of July, two independent exhibitions of selected indipendent participants of Concept 37. In the next edition, Paratisima Skopje expected more to grow and to allow on youth macedonian artists, to upgrade professionally in the frames of the exibition and festival. The plan is to set one artistic network which will connect young macedonian artist, and allows to express their talent outside from our borders and gaining experience which will upgrade them like a individual and professional.
