Russian-Macedonian project named “Volunteers of the Russian language” is a new youth educational-cultural project created at the initiative of the Macedonian organization for cultural cooperation INTERKULTURA from Skopje and the Russian youth organization Fund for Development of Social Diplomacy from Krasnodar.

The project aims to contribute to the formation of a positive image of Russia among the younger generation of Macedonia by promoting the Russian language and culture among the Macedonian youth environment by holding conversation clubs in Russian and informal-educational activities, where participants in various relevant topics will communicate in Russian.
The goals and objectives of the project are to create a platform for intercultural exchange between young people from the Russian Federation and Macedonia, to improve the level of Russian language proficiency for Macedonian students studying Russian in schools and to popularize Russian language and culture among young people from our country.

The target group of the project are students aged 16 to 19 who study Russian in schools in the cities of Skopje, Kumanovo and Veles and students of philology at the Cuban State University in the city of Krasnodar, Russian Federation.
The project is expected to start in September 2021 and be implemented by the end of 2021. The project will take place in an online format, due to the global pandemic situation.

In the period from March to June 2021, the organizations from Macedonia and Russia are conducting preparatory activities through internet platforms with high school students from Skopje, Veles and Kumanovo and students from the University of Krasnodar. The students from the high schools “PeroNakov”, the high school “GoceDelcev” from Kumanovo, the high school “JovceTeslichkov”, the high school “KoleNedelkovski”, the high school “KocoRacin” from Veles take part in the activities. additional training in Russian “Ozarenie” from Skopje. The preparatory activities aim to encourage students’ participation in the project, getting to know each other, as well as presenting their educational institutions and the cities in which they live and study.

All activities are and will be carried out under the guidance of teachers of Russian language and literature who teach in those schools.
This youth project receives support from local youth organizations and institutions from Macedonia and Russia. The great importance for the realization of the project is the support of the federal agency at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Skopje – Rossotrudnichestvo in Macedonia.
The project was submitted to the Presidential Grants Fund of the Russian Federation.
