Summer is full of festivals and events that make our vactions special and help us to relax and enjoy. One of the events that it’s worth to visit this summer is DrimON Festival in Struga. VCS is there as well, our EVS volunteers, Ann and Paulina are already in Struga where they’re helping in preparation of activities together with other volunteers.

What is DrimON Festival about?

The event is held from 25th to 29th of July in Struga. This year motto is “Culture Now!”, which means that is time to stop neglecting this significant sphere (culture) in society and that it must be immediately done something for its rising from the ashes.
Visitors can expect a lot of performances, discussions, exhibitions and concerts.
A few organisation worked in collaboration to deliver the high quality culture initiatives: JADRO Association of the Independent Cultural Scene; Lokomotiva – Center for new initiatives in arts and culture; Desonanz, the publishing houses Templum, Tri, Ili-Ili and Slavko Janevski Foundation.
The festival is organized by the Association Initiative for Independent Cultural Activism INCA Struga, in co-production with Miladinov Brothers Cultural Center supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia and by the Foundation Open Society Macedonia.
