Welcome Doris, our new Volunteer from Poland!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Dorota, but friends call me Doris (because I dont really like my name). I came to EVS in Macedonia so I could get out of my comfort zone which I had in Poland. I’m not a travelling person at all, so I’m really suprised that I actually decided to move abroad for a few months. I don’t know what to expect from being here, but I’m not nervous. I already feel at home here. In Poland I studied journalism and worked as a volunteer in the local radio station.

Therefore you can imagine how happy I am that I can take part in an EVS project with a Youth Magazine. I hope I could give a little piece of myself and bring some fresh ideas to our team.
Actually I didn’t choose Macedonia, it chose me. I don’t really know much about the culture here. When I came to Skopje I saw Cyrillic writing for the first time!
There are a lot of things for me to learn.

I better get to work then.

Wish me luck! Kisses!

Doris Łyczak
