From March 17th to March 26 in Balan, Romania was conducted Erasmus+ Youth Exchange titled “Entrepreneurial youths”. Inspired by the massive unemployment and indifference to young entrepreneurs this exchange created a different world, a world in which young people are changing things and becoming driving force for change in society.
Balan’s energy merged fifty young participants from several countries: Turkey, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania and Macedonia. Through various activities the participants were taught how to be bearers of change in their communities through the application of entrepreneurial skills that were presented.
The activities included the basis for successful functioning in the world of entrepreneurship. Through various lectures and debates business plans were drafted, crisis were solved and all of that encouraged creativity as an initial burst of activation in the world of entrepreneurship. We also paid attention to all formal initial steps including the financial part and registration for start-up business.
In the ten-day gathering, despite the encouragement of critical thought and reflection as an entrepreneur we had fun part filled with various energizers, hiking, organized parties, intercultural evenings and sightseeing of the city of Brasov. In the municipality Miercurea Ciuc we were acquainted with the possibilities offered by the European Union in the Harghita County.
The contribution that the participants gave during the exchange was recognized with the Youthpass, as one evidence of the work there. Youthpass opens many doors for further informal education as well as cooperation with the Erasmus+ Program.
On 26 March the exchange was successfully closed and all the participants went home as young entrepreneurs with great memories.
